Job summary

Gap is seeking an Assistant Manager to set the store tone and lead a high-performing team. You will drive profitable sales through customer operations, merchandising and talent development, working closely with the General Manager to execute store strategy.

You’ll coach Leads, Experts and Brand Associates to deliver a best-in-class experience and coach performance using metrics. This role supports omni-channel initiatives and community involvement.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of retail management experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication with customers and your team to meet goals.
• Passionate about retail and metrics-driven results.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule including holidays, evenings, overnights, and weekends.
• Able to lift up to 30 pounds and travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Drive store sales and deliver results through a customer-centric mindset.
• Recruit, hire and develop Brand Associate and Expert teams.
• Own assigned area of responsibility.
• Implement action plans to maximize efficiencies and productivity.
• Perform Service Leader duties.
• Ensure consistent execution of standard operating procedures.
• Represent the brand and understand the retail landscape.
• Promote community involvement.
• Leverage omni-channel to deliver a frictionless customer experience.
• Ensure all compliance standards are met.
