Job summary

Gap is seeking an Assistant Manager to set the tone for the store and lead the team in delivering a best-in-class customer experience. You will drive profitable sales growth through customer and product operations, merchandising, and talent development, working with the General Manager to execute the store strategy.

You will coach Leads, Experts and Brand Associates to build a high-performing team and ensure omni-channel execution while upholding Gap’s style and standards.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of retail management experience.
• A high school graduate or equivalent.
• Strong communication with customers and team to meet goals.
• Passionate about retail and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Driven by metrics to deliver results to meet business goals.
• Willing to work flexible schedule including holidays, evenings, overnights and weekends.
• Able to lift up to 30 pounds on the job.
• Travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Support strategies and processes to drive store sales and deliver results with a customer-centric mindset.
• Recruit, hire and develop Brand Associates and Experts.
• Own assigned area of responsibility.
• Implement action plans to maximize efficiencies and productivity.
• Perform Service Leader duties.
• Ensure consistent SOP execution.
• Represent the brand and monitor retail landscape.
• Promote community involvement and omni-channel experience.
• Ensure compliance with standards and procedures.
