Job summary

Crate & Barrel is seeking an Assistant Store Leader – Operations to drive efficient store operations and back‑of‑house excellence. You will oversee receiving, inventory, fulfillment, and adherence to operational standards while mentoring associates to deliver a seamless customer experience.

This role partners with Store Leader to set metrics, manage scheduling and expenses, and coach the team. You’ll lead training, onboarding, and product knowledge, promote sales, and collaborate with leadership

Qualifications

• 2+ years of customer service or retail leadership experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Google apps and store tech.
• Open availability for full-time, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Interact with Store Leader to delegate workload and ensure plan execution across the store.
• Align store goals with management and communicate metrics to all associates.
• Establish and monitor key metrics across sales, operations, safety, and payroll.
• Analyze reports daily/weekly/monthly to inform area leadership on sales and productivity.
• Drive sales and act as Leader on Duty (LOD) when required.
• Coach and develop associates to foster growth and teamwork.
• Ensure gracious, efficient service to customers and maintain a positive store image.
• Oversee training, onboarding and product knowledge for all staff.
