Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to direct all store operations, drive sales, and lead a team of roughly ten department managers and receivers in a fast-paced, customer‑driven environment.

You will model Sprouts values, develop leaders, manage inventory and labor to meet targets, ensure safety and sanitation, and maintain exceptional customer service. The role requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent; degree preferred in business/retail fields.
• 1–3 years of retail experience or an acceptable education/experience combination.
• Proven leadership across perishable and non-perishable departments with P&L, safety, staffing and training responsibilities.
• Professional communication skills and attention to detail; MS Office and HR software proficiency.
• Flexible to work nights, weekends and holidays; Food Safety certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of approximately ten people (Department Managers and Receivers) with integrity and care.
• Direct all store operations, drive sales, and maintain strong customer advocacy.
• Ensure safety, labeling, health, and sanitation standards across the store.
• Balance inventory, labor, and expenses to meet targets and manage shrink.
• Provide feedback and coaching to store teams to sustain performance.
• Oversee emergencies, vendor invoicing, and backroom organization as needed.
