Hibbett I City Gear Canton store is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations, merchandising, and customer service. You will oversee inventory, scheduling, and staff development while maintaining store standards and profitability.

The role requires 1-3 years in retail, strong communication, and a proactive, self-starting approach to meet store goals and deliver outstanding customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail environment, preferably footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with overall goals and profits.
• Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks without being asked.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear.
• Consult with Store Manager in establishing action plans to accomplish departmental and overall store responsibilities such as selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assumes responsibility of the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Assist the Store Manager in overall personnel recruiting, training, and evaluation.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments when necessary.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise provided by Hibbett I City Gear.
• Protect the company's assets and financial information by ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of internal control procedures.
