The Assistant Manager will act in the Store Manager's absence, assist in recruiting and training staff, and supervise activities to meet store goals while ensuring profitability and excellent customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a retail environment, preferably footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with overall goals and profits.
• Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling the assets of the store.
• Consult with Store Manager to establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assume responsibility of the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Assist in recruiting, training, and evaluation of store personnel.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers across departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure department responsibilities and standards are met.
• Keep Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Maintain high-quality customer service as outlined in the customer service manual.
