Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear Canton, Texas is seeking a Manager in Training to support the Store Manager in daily operations and admin duties. You will learn product areas, promote promotions, and deliver outstanding customer service while ensuring store policies are followed.

You will cover for the Store Manager when absent, assist with selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling, and help guide employees to meet store goals.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail environment, preferably footwear or athletic apparel.
• 1–3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and meet goals and profits.
• Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Team-player with passion for outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in controlling assets.
• Establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assume responsibility of the store in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers in all departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure each department's responsibilities and standards are met.
• Keep Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Ensure quality customer service is maintained.
• Perform general administrative duties and learn Store Manager's responsibilities.
• Deliver extraordinary customer service and promote merchandise as per manuals.
• Uphold all company policies and procedures.
