Job summary

Dollar General seeks an Assistant Store Manager to lead a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. Under the Store Manager's direction, you will supervise employees, manage merchandise, complete deposits, and support daily operations to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

You will perform stocking, cashiering, and other duties, ensuring planograms are followed and financial integrity with strict cash controls.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year retail experience and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to manage cashier functions and basic inventory duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership at the register and on the floor.
• Open and close the store as required at least two days per week.
• Assist with scheduling, training, safety meetings and policy compliance.
