Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to keep the store clean, organized, and customer-first.Reporting to the Store Manager, you will supervise staff, manage merchandising and paperwork, and handle deposits to protect assets.

You will also lead cashiering, inventory, and adherence to company policies while facilitating profitability and customer satisfaction. The role requires strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers and operate cash register.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling and training of employees; conduct safety meetings.
• Follow processes to manage merchandise including receiving, stocking and displays.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels and control damages and markdowns.
• Ensure planograms are followed and merchandise is presented as directed.
• Maintain financial integrity through cashier accountability and deposits.
