Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to support a defined Store area and assist Store Leadership in the daily operations. You will open/close the store, supervise Associates, and ensure a clean, friendly shopping environment while enforcing company processes.

The role emphasizes safe environments, customer service excellence, proper merchandising, loss prevention, and front-end supervision. Candidates should be able to work evenings and weekends and maintain professional presentation.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining Safe & Secure Environments on the sales floor and back areas.
• Delivering courteous, professional customer service and leading by example.
• Representing the Ross brand through appearance and conduct.
• Merchandising and maintaining cleanliness and organization to company standards.
• Handling loss prevention awareness and ensuring proper cash handling and security.
• Supervising Front End operations, including cash register procedures and staffing back-ups.
• Overseeing fitting rooms maintenance, tag accuracy, and go-backs processing.
• Performing administrative duties as assigned by Store Manager.
