Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to oversee daily store operations and lead a team toward achieving performance standards in a retail environment.

You will supervise Associates, manage payroll and scheduling, ensure customer service excellence, and support store initiatives in merchandising and loss prevention. English fluency and the ability to work evenings/weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of Store or Assistant Store Manager experience in a retail environment.
• Ability to supervise and motivate Store Associates at all levels.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, give direction and follow through.
• Ability to set priorities and exercise independent judgment.
• Maintain high quality of Customer service.
• Fluency in English.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all store areas per Company policies.
• Analyze store reports to evaluate expenses and performance.
• Communicate variances to Store Manager and adjust operations accordingly.
• Ensure proper scheduling of Associates to meet objectives.
• Maintain compliance with regulations and safety policies.
• Assist in recruiting, training, and developing non-exempt staff.
• Support loss prevention and inventory processes.
