Job summary

S&G Stores is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the store manager and ensure efficient operation in accordance with laws and company policies. The role includes supervising staff, driving sales, maintaining asset controls, and fostering a customer-focused environment.

The successful candidate will have high school or GED, supervisory experience, and completion of the required training programs, with strong communication and understanding of retail management practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Completion of the Assistant Store Manager Training program and other Company-required trainings.

Responsibilities

• Provides customer service leadership and direction for the entire store and team.
• Ensures employees follow all Company policies.
• Promotes and maintains a clean and organized store appearance inside and out.
• Fosters an environment focused on customer service and satisfaction.
• Promotes staff retention by developing leaders and empowering employees.
• Responds quickly to emergencies for safety and security.
• Executes merchandising and marketing programs with planogram integrity and signage.
• Maximizes sales and educates staff on selling initiatives.
• Monitors transactions to ensure proper procedures.
• Ensures foodservice products are fresh and rotated.
• Completes store reports and performance appraisals on time.
