Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager to oversee all store processes, including ordering, receiving, stocking, presentation, selling, staffing and support. You will recruit, train, evaluate, and develop staff while ensuring compliance with policies and safety standards.

The role requires strong leadership, supervision, and financial acumen to monitor sales, profitability, and inventory levels in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Aufgaben

• Recruits, selects, and retains qualified employees according to federal and state labor laws and Company policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provides proper training for employees; conducts performance evaluations; identifies gaps for appropriate solutions and/or counseling, up to and including termination.
• Makes recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicates performance, conduct and safety expectations regularly; coordinates meetings and events to encourage safety, security and policies.
• Ensures that the store is appropriately staffed and effectively opened and closed each day.
• Evaluates operating statements to identify business trends (sales, profitability, and turn), expense control opportunities, potential shrink, and errors.
• Orders to ensure the meeting or exceeding of in-stock targets; reviews ordering plan and inventory management issues weekly.
• Facilitates efficient staging, stocking and storage of merchandise following company processes.
• Ensures merchandise is presented according to established practices; utilizes fixtures, pricing and signage.
• Maintains accurate inventory levels through control of damages, markdowns, scanning, paperwork, and facility controls.
• Ensures financial integrity through cashier accountability, key control, and cash handling procedures.
• Provides superior customer service leadership.
• Maintains a clean, well-organized store and safe environment.
• Ensures store is equipped with tools needed to perform tasks.
• Follows company SOPs and policies; ensures employee compliance.
• Completes all paperwork and documentation on guidelines and deadlines.
