Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager to lead all store processes, including ordering, stocking, selling, staffing and customer service. You will recruit and develop staff, monitor performance, and ensure operational excellence in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and solid cash handling and inventory skills. You will drive standards, safety, and compliance while delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of management experience in retail preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret store policies and procedures.
• Familiarity with cash handling procedures and POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, selects, and retains qualified employees per laws and policy.
• Provides training and conducts performance evaluations.
• Monitors staffing and ensures proper store coverage.
• Manages scheduling and opening/closing duties.
• Analyzes sales, profitability, and stock levels.
• Oversees ordering, receiving, and inventory accuracy.
• Ensures merchandise presentation, pricing, and signage.
• Maintains cash controls and cashier accountability.
• Delivers superior customer service leadership.
• Maintains clean, safe, and well-organized store.
• Completes paperwork and compliance documentation.
