Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager to lead all store processes including ordering, receiving, stocking, presentation, selling, staffing and support. You will recruit and develop staff, ensure customer service, and maintain store standards.

The role involves managing daily operations, evaluating performance, and enforcing company policies while maintaining a safe and organized shopping environment.

Qualifications

• Reading documents and safety rules; ability to interpret store procedures.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability.
• Experience with inventory management, merchandising and stock control.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for team leadership.
• Good organizational skills with attention to detail and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, selects, and retains qualified employees according to federal and state laws and Company policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provides proper training for employees; conducts performance evaluations and coaching.
• Makes recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicates performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinates meetings and events to ensure safety and policy compliance.
• Ensures store opens/closes per schedule and proper staffing; manages daily operations.
