Job summary

Steve Madden is seeking a Store Assistant Manager (full-time) in Florida to support the Store Manager in all store operations. You will guide and develop a team of brand advocates to deliver an exceptional customer experience that aligns with the Steve Madden brand.

You will partner on profitability, implement visual merchandising, ensure replenishment, manage training, and help with hiring while keeping loss prevention and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years of retail experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to coordinate people, resources, and services to address business goals and needs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of retail operations including sales, customer service, merchandising, inventory control, store budget preparation, and loss prevention.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.
• Understanding of how to develop staff with experience in staffing, coaching, counseling, etc.
• Ability to process information or merchandise through the computer system and POS register system.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager to maximize profitability via customer engagement and merchandising.
• Create amazing customer experiences through client focus and collaboration.
• Implement visual merchandising directives to maintain brand strategies.
• Ensure replenishment of merchandise on the selling floor.

• Assist in training, operations, inventory, and store administration.
• Foster development and accountability within the team.
• Assist in hiring qualified candidates.
• Handle POS and store system transactions.
