Job summary

ALDI USA in Saint Augustine, FL, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help supervise daily store operations and drive performance. The role includes scheduling, developing action plans, and coaching team members to deliver excellent customer service.

The position is full-time with an average of 38 hours per week. Starting wage is $27.50 per hour, with a wage increase to $28.50 in Year 2. Benefits are available for full-time employees.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team.
• Provide and lead others to provide prompt and courteous customer service.

• Interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
• Establish goals, guide employee performance to ensure the quality and completion of work assignments.

• Safely operate equipment including hand jack, floor scrubber, and cardboard baler; perform general cleaning duties to company standards.

• Meets any state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement action plans to improve operating results.
• Establishes and communicates job responsibilities to direct reports to ensure mutual understanding and desired results.
• Identifies training opportunities to improve performance.
• Supports the store strategy and core values to foster teamwork.
• Monitors the competitive environment and informs leadership of adjustments needed.
• Provides product feedback and recommendations on items to carry or discontinue.
• Participates in interviewing store personnel.
• Maintains inventory procedures and cash control policies to minimize losses.
• Resolves customer concerns in the absence of the direct leader.
• Maintains cleanliness and proper store signage at all times.
• Assists with stocking levels and merchandising to maximize sales.
• Supports payroll and budget targets and training new employees.
