Job summary

ALDI is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to oversee day-to-day store activities in a fast-paced retail environment. You will assist with supervising staff, managing schedules, and implementing operational plans to drive store performance.

starting wage is $25.00 per hour with potential $26.00 wage increase in year 2, based on performance. The role requires leadership to develop teams, manage inventory and adherence to cash controls while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a retail environment.
• Prior management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist direct leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results.
• Establish and communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports.
• Identify training and development opportunities for direct reports to improve performance.
• Support company strategy and values to foster teamwork and engagement.
• Monitor competitive environment and advise adjustments to maintain performance.
• Provide product feedback and assist in decisions on new items or discontinuations.
• Participate in interviewing store personnel.
• Communicate weekly information and milestones to the team.
• Ensure adherence to inventory, handling, and cash control procedures to minimize losses.
• Resolve customer concerns in the absence of the direct leader.
• Identify hazards and maintain store equipment.
