Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. HomeGoods store in Pittsburgh is seeking a Key Carrier to support store leadership and daily operations. This elevated role alternates with Coordinator, requiring open availability including nights and weekends and a strong focus on customer service.

You will lead by example, coach Associates, ensure adherence to procedures, manage opening/closing, and partner with Management on training to boost effectiveness while upholding labor laws and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• 1 year retail, 6 months leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Creates a positive internal and external customer experience.
• Promotes honesty and integrity; maintains confidentiality.
• Acts as Manager on Duty adhering to company policy and procedure.
• Ensures store team performs tasks and activities per store plan; prioritizes as needed.
• Addresses immediate customer service issues and provides coaching to Associates.
• Exercises discretion regarding customer service policies to satisfy customers.
• Maintains accurate Associate coverage in service areas for a positive customer experience.
• Ensures Associates adhere to all operational procedures.
• Ensures opening/closing procedures are executed according to company guidelines.
• Communicates with management and Associates when setting priorities; provides progress updates.
• Provides recognition and constructive feedback to staff.
• Coaches Associates and identifies training needs with Management.
• Ensures adherence to labor laws, policies and procedures.
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs.
• Supports shrink reduction goals and programs.
• Promotes safety awareness and maintains a safe environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
