Job summary

ALDI USA is looking for an Assistant Store Manager to help supervise daily store operations and support the store leadership team. You will manage schedules, develop action plans to improve performance, and identify training opportunities to grow the team.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team.
• Ability to provide and lead others to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Ability to develop rapport, trust, and open communication with direct reports.
• Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
• Ability to manage budgets, personnel costs, and expenses.
• Ability to operate a cash register efficiently and accurately.
• Must meet state/local requirements for handling and selling alcohol (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Assist with supervising day-to-day store activities and ensuring store performance.
• Develop operational action plans and scheduling.
• Identify training opportunities to develop the team.
• Ensure adherence to inventory, product handling, and cash control policies.
• Participate in interviewing store personnel and communicate key information weekly.
• Maintain store cleanliness and signage; ensure product quality and signage accuracy.
• Assist in maintaining stock levels and merchandise presentation to maximize sales.
• Support payroll, loss prevention, and training initiatives.
• Escalate issues to leadership when necessary.
