Job summary

ALDI USA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Michigan to lead day-to-day store activities, supervise schedules, and develop operational action plans while identifying training opportunities to grow the team.

The role offers full-time employment with an average of 38 hours per week and a starting wage of $25.00 per hour, with planned increases to $26.00 per hour in year two. You will support leadership in achieving store performance and delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results.
• Communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports.
• Identify training opportunities to improve performance of team.
• Model ALDI core values and communicate company strategy to create teamwork.
• Monitor competitive environment and adjust plans to maintain ALDI's position.
• Provide product feedback and recommendations on items to carry or discontinue.
• Participate in interviewing store personnel.
• Ensure adherence to inventory, cash handling, and loss prevention policies.
• Resolve operational customer concerns in the absence of the direct leader.
• Identify hazards and maintain store equipment and ergonomics.
• Maintain store cleanliness and proper signage.
• Assist with stock levels and product ordering.
• Merchandise products to maximize sales and ensure freshness and signage accuracy.
• Oversee payroll and loss budget, inventory counts, and training new employees.
• Supervise day-to-day operations and escalate issues when needed.
• Ensure timely completion of duties and high level of customer service.
