Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company is seeking a store department leader to manage fresh perimeter departments including bakery, deli, produce and market. You will ensure product quality, food safety, inventory control, and effective merchandising while driving sales and customer service.

The role requires strong leadership, training and scheduling skills, with responsibility for store operations and adherence to company standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Associates Degree and two+ years related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education.
• Must obtain HIPAA certification within 2 weeks; tobacco/alcohol certifications if applicable.
• Must obtain Manager Food Safety certification within 2 weeks; AML certification where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Interview, hire, train and develop partners; plan, assign and direct work; appraise performance; discipline and scheduling.
• Ensure effective training of partners within the departments under supervision.
• Review historical data to predict future sales from ads; manage inventory and in-stock levels.
• Maintain sales performance, cash flow, and product quality; uphold safety and sanitation standards.
• Open/close the store; ensure adequate staff and safe handling of cash and assets.
