Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company in Tyler, Texas is seeking a motivated store manager to oversee fresh perimeter departments, including bakery, deli, produce, and market. You will ensure product quality, food safety, inventory levels, and sales targets, while leading a team to deliver excellent customer service.

The role emphasizes planning, merchandising execution, loss prevention, and operational efficiency. Strong leadership and food safety knowledge are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in related field and two or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education required.
• Must obtain HIPAA certification through internal programs within 2 weeks of starting in role where applicable.
• Must obtain Manager Food Safety certification within 2 weeks of starting in role.

Responsibilities

• Interviews, hires, trains and develops partners; plans, assigns and directs work; appraises performance and rewards or disciplines partners; schedules and resolves problems.
• Ensures effective training of partners within the departments under their supervision.
• Reviews historical data to predict future sales from ads and promotions; manages inventory to ensure in-stock levels.
• Maintains sales performance, cash flow, public relations, product quality, and work standards.
• Oversees store opening/closing, staffing, safety, and cash management.
