Job summary

At Home is seeking an Assistant Store Manager - Operations to support store leadership in Lincoln, NE. You will drive store performance, coach teams, and ensure a safe, organized, and engaging shopping environment for customers and Team Members.

You will lead Operations Leads and Zone Leads (based on store volume), manage staffing and payroll, and execute on financial and operational metrics while upholding At Home's values and delivering exceptional in-store experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in big-box/high-volume retail.
• Proven experience leading 20+ Team Members and managing $5M in annual revenue or budget.
• Knowledge of freight processes, inventory control, stocking, and merchandising.
• Customer-focused mindset with a track record of delivering in-store excellence.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with HRIS and workforce scheduling systems.
• Demonstrated integrity, reliability, and ethical business practices.
• Strong communication skills, including verbal and written.
• Ability to analyze data and leverage insights to drive performance.
• Proven ability to build and sustain a collaborative, high-performing team culture.

Responsibilities

• Drive store operations to achieve sales, profit, and performance goals with a customer-focused experience.
• Attract, hire, and develop talent; build internal bench strength and succession plans.
• Coach and develop staff through training and development to enable growth.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and payroll accuracy to support financial metrics.
• Plan and oversee operations including opening/closing and front-end processes.
• Direct freight, inventory, stocking, and merchandising for optimal in-stock conditions.
• Lead efforts in customer satisfaction, shrink control, safety, loss prevention, and cash handling.
• Address Team Member and customer concerns with urgency and professionalism.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
• Champion a positive, inclusive, and safe environment and lead regular team huddles.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
