At Home Group Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager – Operations to support the Store Manager in leading operational, financial, and team functions in a large-format store.

The role drives store performance with annual sales typically $4–$10 million, supporting efficient operations, strong execution, and a superior customer experience. You will lead Operations Leads and the Zone Lead team, foster collaboration, ensure safety and organization, and model At Home’s values while driving results

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership in big-box or high-volume retail.
• Lead teams of 20+ and manage $5M+ in annual revenue or budget.
• Knowledge of freight, inventory control, stocking, merchandising.
• Customer-focused mindset with in-store excellence track record.
• Proven integrity, reliability and ethical business practices.
• Proficient with MS Office and workforce systems.

Responsibilities

• Drive store operations to hit sales, profit, and performance goals.
• Attract, hire, and develop talent; build internal bench strength.
• Coach, train, and develop teams for ongoing growth.
• Staffing, scheduling, and payroll accuracy aligned with metrics.
• Plan and oversee opening/closing and front-end processes.
• Direct freight, inventory, stocking, and merchandising.
• Lead store-wide loss prevention, safety, and cash handling.
• Address team and customer concerns with urgency and integrity.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and laws.
• Foster a positive, inclusive culture and lead effective communications.
