Job summary

Family Dollar in Dover-Foxcroft, ME seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with merchandise flow from delivery to floor, and help maintain seasonal displays while ensuring opening/closing procedures are followed.

Strong communication and customer service skills are required, as is the ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment and to lift up to 55 lbs as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; ability to read and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform essential store duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store operations and day-to-day activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives and maintain compliance with store activities
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked, safe store environment
