Job summary

Family Dollar LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development at our Dover-Foxcroft location.

You will assist with daily store functions, greet customers, organize merchandise, manage openings and closings, supervise associates, and help ensure safety and policy compliance. This role offers growth through hands-on leadership and exposure to payroll, scheduling, and displays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs from floor to above shoulder height.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, and cash receipts), and loss prevention.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe environment while maintaining professional interactions with customers and staff.
