Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Chambersburg to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist in daily activities, help customers, and ensure merchandise is well-organized and displays remain effective.

You will participate in opening/closing procedures and support the Store Manager in training staff. A strong focus on safety, accuracy, and customer satisfaction is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail management experience in grocery, retail, or drug store environment is helpful.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and provide customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store operations and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers with questions and concerns in a friendly manner.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Assist in opening and closing procedures and in loss prevention.
• Support Store Manager in training and development of store associates.
• Maintain store cleanliness and promotional displays according to company standards.
