Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and ensure store standards.

The role involves opening/closing procedures, adhering to company policies, and supervising store associates to maintain a safe and professional environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Move merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and routine communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
