Job summary

Family Dollar seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily activities, help customers, and ensure merchandise is organized on the floor and in the stockroom.

The role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a focus on maintaining a safe, presentable store and assisting the Store Manager in training staff.

Qualifications

• Experience managing store operations in retail
• Ability to read and interpret directives
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Support the Store Manager in supervising and training staff
• Maintain a clean and safe store environment
