Job summary

Five Below is seeking an on-site Store Manager on a hourly basis in the United States. The role emphasizes excellent customer service, staff supervision, and daily store operations.

Starting pay is $14.23 per hour, with responsibilities spanning training, merchandising, and opening/closing procedures. Qualified applicants have a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least 1 year of management experience, with strong communication and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all crew members are Wowing the Customer through personal contact with customers.
• Trains the crew on the BEST customer service experience; ensuring that each guest has a fast, friendly check-out experience.
• Helps oversee the daily activities of all store associates, ensuring they are performing their duties effectively and providing excellent customer service.
• Assists with the receiving, unpacking, and organizing of new stock to ensure items are quickly and efficiently placed on the sales floor.
• Acts as Manager on Duty when needed, taking full responsibility for store operations, staff management, customer service, and addressing any urgent issues.
• Occasionally manages opening or closing the store, securing cash, locking doors, setting alarms, and ensuring smooth operations.
• Supports onboarding and ongoing training of associates, helping them learn store policies, product knowledge, and procedures.
• Drives store sales and controls expenses by optimizing merchandising, staff performance, and customer service.
• Partners with store leadership team in merchandising procedures and World Recovery.
• Performs store maintenance including garbage, sweeping, cleaning bathrooms, and maintaining stock room.
