Job summary

Family Dollar in Los Angeles is looking for an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help with opening and closing, organize merchandise, and ensure seasonal areas are well maintained.

Duties include assisting with ordering, processing damaged merchandise, payroll and scheduling, loss prevention, and maintaining a clean, safe, and engaging store environment. Strong communication and a team-oriented approach are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional displays and oversee stockroom organization.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and organized store while protecting company assets.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates and ensure a safe, respectful environment.
