Family Dollar LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Los Angeles for a part-time role focused on store operations, customer service, and team development.

The position requires strong communication and leadership abilities, with experience in retail management preferred. You will assist in daily store activities, merchandise handling, and adherence to safety and company policies in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; ability to read and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drugstore environment preferred.
• Lift up to 55 lbs and handle frequent walking, standing, and repetitive motion.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to thrive in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies, safety guidelines, and ensure staff compliance.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, restrooms, floors, and waste areas.
• Other duties as assigned.
