Job summary

Rack Room Shoes is seeking an Assistant Manager to aid the Store Manager in daily operations, ensuring adherence to company policies and delivering outstanding customer service. You will lead, train, and develop staff, stepping in for the Store Manager when needed to keep operations running smoothly.

You will focus on achieving sales, service, and operational goals while maintaining visual standards, inventory accuracy, and compliance with procedures across pricing, promotions, and POS

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and welfare of employees and customers.
• Provide service leadership and training to staff.
• Address customer issues with urgency and ensure satisfaction.
• Oversee POS transactions, discounts, refunds, and loyalty programs per policy.
• Manage inventory controls including shipping, receiving, pricing, markdowns, and physical inventories.
• Lead merchandising, store presentation, and promotional materials.
• Oversee payroll controls including scheduling and time/attendance.
• Develop direct reports and reinforce operational standards.
• Support loss prevention and asset protection policies.
• Aim to manage day-to-day operations effectively.
