Job summary

Rack Room Shoes is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations and ensure adherence to company policies. You will lead, train, and guide staff, and take full responsibility in the Store Manager's absence to meet sales, service, and operational goals.

You will drive a safe, engaging shopping environment, handle POS and inventory tasks, and uphold merchandising standards while supervising payroll, training, and loss prevention efforts.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage POS transactions per policy including sales, discounts, and refunds.
• Oversee inventory control, shipping/receiving, pricing changes, and markdowns.
• Maintain merchandising standards and store presentation, signage, and promotions.
• Control payroll-related tasks: scheduling, payroll budget, and attendance.
• Train and develop direct reports; enforce operational standards.
• Oversee loss prevention and asset protection.
• Develop understanding of day-to-day store operations.
