Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Knoxville to help supervise store employees, ensure clean and organized merchandising, and support the Store Manager in daily operations. The candidate will assist with scheduling, training, safety meetings, and adherence to company policies, while ensuring security practices and accurate deposits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Retail supervisory experience preferred (1 year)
• Ability to operate cash register and scanners.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers, and operate cash register and scanner.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling, training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Manage merchandise receiving, stocking, restocking, and displays; ensure planograms.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by controlling damages, markdowns, scanning, and paperwork.
• Assist with cash handling and deposits; ensure cash control procedures.
• Assist with store operations in the Store Manager's absence.
