Job summary

Five Below is seeking a store leadership associate in Wheaton, MD to oversee daily operations and train crew. You will ensure fast, friendly checkout and top-notch customer service while managing stock and opening/closing duties.

The role requires at least 1 year of management experience, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a dynamic retail environment. Flexible schedule including weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent; college experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and remain composed under pressure.
• Creative thinking and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Wows customers through personal contact and trains crew on the BEST customer service experience.
• Oversees daily activities of store associates and ensures excellent customer service.
• Assists with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock for quick shelf placement.
• Acts as Manager on Duty when needed, handling operations, staff, and urgent issues.
• Manages opening/closing procedures, cash handling, alarms, and daily operations integrity.
• Supports onboarding and ongoing training of associates on policies and procedures.
• Drives store sales and controls expenses by optimizing merchandising and staff performance.
• Performs store maintenance and coordinates with leadership on merchandising and recovery.
