Job summary

ALDI Medford, MA is seeking a full-time Assistant Store Manager to support day-to-day store operations, supervise team members, manage schedules, and help develop action plans to improve performance.

The role requires at least 3 years of retail experience, strong communication and leadership skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while upholding company policies and standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results.
• Communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports.
• Identify training and development opportunities for direct reports.
• Support store leader in maintaining company strategy and values.
• Monitor competitive environment and suggest adjustments to stay competitive.
• Provide product feedback and recommendations on items to carry or discontinue.
• Participate in interviewing store personnel.
• Ensure adherence to inventory procedures, product handling, and cash control policies.
• Resolve customer concerns in the absence of the direct leader.
• Identify and rectify hazards and maintain equipment functionality.
• Maintain store cleanliness and signage; ensure stock levels and merchandising.
• Assist with payroll, shrink budgets, inventories, and training.
• Supervise day-to-day team operations and escalate issues as needed.
