Job summary

ALDI USA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to oversee day-to-day store activities and support the direct leader in driving store performance. The role includes managing schedules, developing action plans, and identifying training opportunities to grow the team.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in retail with prior management experience, strong customer service skills, and the ability to lead a team while maintaining store standards and brand values.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of progressive retail experience.
• Previous management experience preferred.
• Ability to lead a team and deliver strong customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist the direct leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results.
• Establish and communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports.
• Identify training and development opportunities for direct reports.
• Model company values to create teamwork and belonging.
• Monitor competitive environment and advise adjustments to maintain competitiveness.
• Provide product feedback and recommendations on items to carry or discontinue.
• Participate in interviewing store personnel.
• Communicate weekly information and milestones to the team.
• Ensure adherence to inventory, handling, and cash control procedures.
• Resolve customer concerns in the absence of direct leadership.
• Identify hazards and ensure equipment is safe and operational.
• Maintain store cleanliness and signage.
• Assist with stocking and merchandising to maximize sales.
• Ensure signage is accurate and products are fresh.
