Job summary

Ross Stores in Jenkintown, PA seeks an Area Supervisor to oversee a specific store area and assist in store leadership duties, including opening/closing, supervising associates, and maintaining an easy to shop environment.

You will ensure proper merchandise presentation, safety, and execution of company processes, while training staff and supporting loss prevention and front-end operations.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise Associates when acting as Manager on Duty.
• Maintain a safe and secure shopping environment and report unsafe conditions.
• Lead front-end supervision and ensure efficiency in checkout and service.
• Train and coach Associates on cash register procedures and loss prevention policies.
• Ensure displays are merchandised to company standards and stockrooms are organized.
• Assist with merchandising, back-stock management, and floor moves as needed.
• Support administrative duties and adherence to store policies as assigned by Store Manager.
