Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. in Gates, NY seeks an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee daily store operations, deliver exceptional customer service, and support team development.

This role assists with opening/closing, merchandising, and loss prevention to maintain store standards. Work is in a fast-paced retail environment; you’ll coordinate with associates, manage merchandise flow from delivery to floor, ensure safety policies, and help with scheduling and payroll tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical store duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Assist in merchandising, stock room movement, and seasonal area maintenance.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Support payroll, scheduling, cash deposits, and loss prevention tasks.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
