Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development, ensuring smooth daily functions and compelling store presentation.

You’ll assist with merchandise organization, supervise store associates, handle opening/closing procedures, and protect assets while upholding safety and company policies.

This role requires strong communication, leadership, and a passion for delivering excellent guest service in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain areas of the store to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and respectful environment for customers and team.
