Job summary

African American Talent is seeking a customer-focused retail associate to support store operations, cash handling, and customer service excellence. You will open/close the store when management is absent and assist with deliveries, pricing, and inventory control.

The role requires at least one year of leadership or supervisory experience, fluency in English, and a valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license where applicable. This position is on-site with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Opens and closes the store in the absence of store management and handles cash, deliveries, and start-up procedures.
• Completes product returns, order voids, refunds, cash drops, and provides change.
• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Greets customers and assists with products and services to ensure a positive experience.
• Shares customer service best practices with team members to maintain high service standards.
• Handles store key duties, backdoor access for deliveries, and pricing tasks in compliance with regulations.
• Manages inventory accuracy and stockroom organization, including rotation and displays.
• Assists with back-office tasks including cash reports, ledgers, and bill payments as needed.
• Maintains store appearance and coordinates maintenance with management in their absence.
• Ensures proper separation of food items and correct stock rotation for consumables.
