Job summary

Walgreens Co. is seeking a capable Store Associate to open and close a Walgreens store in the absence of management, handle cash and transactions, and ensure the floor and stock room are ready for business.

You will greet customers, provide product help, resolve issues, and model Walgreens service traits to deliver a delightful experience. You will collaborate with the team to manage inventory, price signage, and displays, while supporting back-room processes and vendor deliveries.

Qualifications

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Obtains and maintains valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Opens and closes the store in the absence of store management, including all required systems start-ups, required cash handling, and ensuring the floor and stock room are ready for the business day.
• Completes product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provides change as requested to cash registers.
• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services; resolves issues to ensure a positive experience.
• Registers all related sales, reviews price verifications, and handles voids; assists with order exceptions and reverse logistics as needed.
• Evaluates and develops displays and maintains inventory accuracy; supports pricing signage and local regulatory tasks.
