Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a qualified candidate to oversee total store operations in the absence of Store Manager and Store Managers in Training. The role requires leading teams in merchandising and operating initiatives while maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming store environment.

Responsibilities include assisting management to deliver exceptional customer service, driving sales, managing labor and costs, and ensuring adherence to company policies, safety, and inventory

Qualifications

• Minimum supervisory/leadership experience.
• Dependability and integrity as reflected in past work record.
• Ability to pass a preemployment background check.
• Knowledge of basic math.

• Ability to handle stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Assist store management and team members in the achievement of a favorable customer shopping experience.
• Assist in leading teams in merchandising and operating initiatives.
• Work with team members to identify opportunities in the store and develop timely solutions with action plans.
• Drive sales with store management to maximize sales and profits while managing shrink.
• Assist management in reducing turnover, increasing retention, and maintaining consistent store operations.
• Assist with managing labor and supply costs to meet customer service and financial targets.
• Ensure customer returns and exchanges are handled per company policies and procedures.
• Maintain awareness of inventory and stocking conditions to ensure ordering system integrity.
• Display a positive attitude and stay current with ads and promotions.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Reinforce safety programs and report safety risks or issues including robbery, theft, or fraud.
• Oversee total store operations in the absence of store management.
