Job summary

Five Below is seeking a Store Manager on Duty to oversee daily store operations, coach associates, and drive customer service excellence in our Florida Jacksonville location. The role requires leadership experience, strong communication, and a hands-on approach to merchandising and guest experience.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• College experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task.

• Ability to maintain composure under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all crew members wow the customer through personal contact.
• Train crew on the BEST customer service experience; ensure fast, friendly checkout.
• Oversee daily activities of store associates and ensure quality customer service.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and stocking of new stock for quick floor placement.
• Act as Manager on Duty when needed, handling store operations and staff management.
• Open or close the store, secure cash, lock doors, set alarms for smooth daily ops.
• Support onboarding and ongoing training of associates on policies and product knowledge.
• Drive store sales and control expenses through merchandising and service improvements.
• Partner with store leadership on merchandising procedures and World Recovery.
• Perform store maintenance tasks and upkeep of stock room.
