Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to join our Store Leadership team in Alabama. This role oversees a specific area of the store and supports general operations, including opening/closing, supervising Associates, and maintaining a friendly, easy-to-shop environment.

The Area Supervisor ensures proper merchandise presentation, store cleanliness, and adherence to company processes, while helping manage safety and loss prevention.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store, supervising Associates and maintaining a friendly environment.
• Ensure merchandise is presented properly and the store is clean at all times.
• Execute and supervise company operational processes as needed.
• Maintain loss prevention awareness and safety on the sales floor.
• Oversee Front End operations and ensure efficient checkout and customer service.
