Job summary

The Michaels Companies, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Manager for The Michaels Stores in the Pittsburgh area.

The role leads merchandising and operational execution, including truck processing, inventory routines, planogram sets, and visual standards to create a customer-ready store environment. You will drive pricing accuracy, timely promotions, and effective workload planning, partnering with store leadership to optimize staffing, in-stock levels, and loss prevention while coaching team

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Experience in merchandising and inventory control.
• Ability to supervise and develop a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Lead SOPs and company programs to ensure compliance with laws and requirements.
• Ensure execution of policies and standards; hold team accountable.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and maintain store operations.
• Lead truck execution, unloading, sorting, and floor flow of merchandise.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization with store leadership.
• Execute Store-In-Stock Optimization routines for in-stock and replenishment.
• Oversee Planogram execution and visual merchandising standards.
• Maintain clean, organized store environment and backroom organization.
• Manage inventory accuracy, integrity, and stock movement.
• Execute promotional ad sets and ensure pricing changes are timely and accurate.
• Oversee Ship from Store fulfillment, RTVs and ASN receiving.
• Manage store damages procedures and shrink reduction.
• Train and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing coaching.
• Partner in Asset Protection practices.
