Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. operates a network of Michaels stores nationwide. This Merchandise Manager role centers on driving merchandising execution, pricing accuracy, and customer-ready store environments through proactive workload planning and inventory management.

You will lead truck processing, planogram sets, and visual standards while ensuring timely promotional execution and high service levels in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading SOPs and company policies to ensure legal compliance and store readiness.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, maintaining floor leadership and service standards.
• Lead truck execution, unload and stock flow to the sales floor.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization with store leadership.
• Execute and maintain Store-In-Stock Optimization routines to drive in-stock levels.
• Oversee Planogram execution and visual merchandising standards.
• Support a clean, organized store environment including backroom and sales floor.
• Manage inventory control, ensuring product accuracy and proper stock movement.
• Execute price changes accurately and on time and support Ship from Store fulfillment.
• Process RTVs and ASN receiving with documentation accuracy.
• Train and coach team members through onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
• Partner with Asset Protection to reduce shrink and improve safety.
