Job summary

Staples is seeking a Merchandising & Inventory Supervisor to lead sales floor merchandising, inventory control, and back-room operations. You will coach the team, drive customer service, and ensure planograms and promotions are executed across the floor.

With the ability to work a flexible schedule, you will play a central role in store operations, including cashier duties when needed, while maintaining a clean and inviting shopping environment.

Qualifications

• Able to work a flexible schedule based on the store’s needs.
• Clear understanding of merchandising and retail operations.
• Experience managing and coaching a team.
• Must engage customers and understand their needs.
• Ability to multitask effectively with limited supervision.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull materials in the 100-pound range.

Responsibilities

• Process inventory controls: zero balance, returns, and cross channel returns.
• Execute product activities including unloading, sorting, stocking, and maintaining stock levels.
• Perform weekly planograms and seasonal promo changes.
• Deliver exceptional customer service.
• Engage customers with basic selling skills and solutions.
• Maintain a neat, inviting store environment and handle cashier/returns duties as needed.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when scheduled and lead store operations.
